Description
The delicate white flowers of the Queen Anne's Lace with a background of yellows and greens. This flower to me is reminiscent of fireworks bursting in the night sky. This lacy white wildflower is also called the bishop's lace, wild carrot, bird's nest and scientifically: the daucus carota. They grow 1 to 2 feet on stiff solid stems and have lacy, finely divided leaves. Although the Queen Anne's lace is similar in appearance to the poison hemlock, it can be distinguished by the tiny dark red flower in the center. This little red flower also attracts insects to the plant.
