Sometimes while I'm out driving with my husband I use my phone to capture shots of landscapes or other things that catch my eye. The resulting photos are of course not suitable for selling here as prints but they do make great reference material. I loved the photo used for this but it had the tell tale horizontal blur of being shot from a fast moving car, so rather than hiding that I decided to celebrate it. I used strong and obvious horizontal brush strokes to paint this scene. Since realism was not what I was aiming for I also used bright colors to give it a more surreal style. Overall I'm happy with this style and will definitely revisit it in the future.
