I've always been inspired by steampunk art and wanted to create something in that theme but with my own style. Colorful mechanical gears of various shapes and sizes "grow" in this unusual garden. If you let an engineer plan your garden space this is what might happen. A cogwheel caterpillar has locked himself into place on one of the flower gears, enjoying the free ride. If this were real, I'd want this garden to run on solar power to keep it in perpetual motion and be constructed of weather proof materials. I wouldn't want my flowers to rust.
I come from a creative family who loved art, music, photography and sometimes random hiking adventures. I am thankful to them for giving me the gift of curiosity, creativity and a love of the natural world. I incorporate all of these aspects into my work and enjoy working with a variety of mediums.
