A view of Lake Erie as seen from the barrier beach at Old Woman Creek Nature Reserve. The barrier beach at Old Woman Creek is a protected coastline that separates the water of Lake Erie and the water of the creek. Where the two meet forms a new type of water called an estuary, a unique natural waterway that supports a variety of shorebirds and wildlife. This shot was taken in the early spring before the foliage on the shrubs and trees and coastal plants had returned.
I come from a creative family who loved art, music, photography and sometimes random hiking adventures. I am thankful to them for giving me the gift of curiosity, creativity and a love of the natural world. I incorporate all of these aspects into my work and enjoy working with a variety of mediums.
