A playful koi fish splashes happily in a swirling blue-green pond. An original illustration with digital color, vector shapes and patterns. The koi or nishikigoi is one of the most popular ornamental fish both for it's hardiness and it's beauty. They come in a wide variety of colors with unique patterns and scales. They are most often found kept in outdoor koi ponds and water gardens and if properly cared for can outlive us. Average life span is 50 or more years and one of the most long lived koi named "Hanako" lived to be 225.

I come from a creative family who loved art, music, photography and sometimes random hiking adventures. I am thankful to them for giving me the gift of curiosity, creativity and a love of the natural world. I incorporate all of these aspects into my work and enjoy working with a variety of mediums.
