Description
A brilliant red tulip that has just bloomed. Tulips are bulbous perennial plants from the genus Tulipa which has up to 109 species. Tulips are indigenous to mountainous regions with temperate climates. To thrive tulips need a period of cool dormancy or vernalization and do best in places with long, cool springs and dry summers. Tulips usually only bear one flower per bulb but some are capable of multiple blooms. They come in a variety of colors except true blue. These showy cup shaped flowers are a popular perennial favorite for gardeners all over the world.
