The Crown of Thorns or Christ Plant is a woody succulent species from Madagascar. Its formal name is Euphorbia Milii named for Baron Milius who introduced the plant to France in 1821. It is most famously known for being used as the crown of thorns worn by Jesus as depicted in the Bible.
