Multiple layers of circles in vibrant warm colors create a bold and energizing abstract. As a child my favorite toy was the largest box of crayons, the one with the sharpener in the back. I relished that new crayon smell, I loved them! So many new colors to play with, all those endless artistic possibilities, a truly joyful memory. Now a days I use more professional tools but that childlike wonder has never faded. This series of work is a celebration of that lifelong love of color and possibility.
I come from a creative family who loved art, music, photography and sometimes random hiking adventures. I am thankful to them for giving me the gift of curiosity, creativity and a love of the natural world. I incorporate all of these aspects into my work and enjoy working with a variety of mediums. I also enjoy making detailed collages using recycled materials, in this way I can do my part to help the environment and create something beautiful. Thank you for visiting!
