A silhouetted maple tree against a dreamlike pastel sky. Everyday, when I go out into the world, this old maple tree is the first thing I see. It's featured in a lot of my work and is a rare little slice of nature in a jumble of houses and people. I am grateful for it's calming effect, the wildlife it is home to and the soft rustling of leaves on warm days. The sky is of my own creation, to give the scene a colorful, fantasy style.
I come from a creative family who loved art, music, photography and sometimes random hiking adventures. I am thankful to them for giving me the gift of curiosity, creativity and a love of the natural world. I incorporate all of these aspects into my work and enjoy working with a variety of mediums. I also enjoy making detailed collages using recycled materials, in this way I can do my part to help the environment and create something beautiful. Thank you for visiting!
